Wood’s AC Cortina 12K AirSwitch was named ‘Best in Test’ by LB Home 2025. It is a revolution in portable air conditioning and is based on the multiple test-winning Cortina 12K, but is also equipped with the patent-pending AirSwitch™ technology that uses cool outdoor air when the outside temperature is lower than inside. This provides whisper-quiet operation and extremely low energy consumption. At the same time, the air is always purified through a HEPA filter that removes particles and supplies fresh air that lowers CO₂ levels. How AirSwitch works:

1. When the outside temperature is higher than the desired temperature, the compressor efficiently cools the room and purifies the air through a HEPA filter.
2. When the outside temperature is lower than the set temperature, AirSwitch automatically switches to bring in the cooler air through the HEPA filter from outside without running the compressor – quieter and more energy efficient.
