Drying laundry quickly is often energy-intensive, particularly when large amounts of heat need to be supplied. This is especially noticeable in apartment blocks where the laundry room is used for much of the day.
Wood’s WLD1H laundry room dehumidifier has been specially developed for property owners who want to reduce energy costs without compromising on drying time. It is installed so that the powerful fan gently blows air underneath the laundry, where it is wettest, to dry it.

The built-in auxiliary heater (1200 W) can be activated as needed to ensure effective drying even in spaces where there is insufficient heat. For optimum energy efficiency, it is recommended to use the property’s existing heating system as the primary source and the auxiliary heater as a supplement.
The energy-efficient and environmentally friendly refrigerant (R290) contributes to high dehumidification capacity and reduces the need for external heat supply compared to many traditional solutions.

The WLD1H is designed primarily for use in conjunction with the property’s existing heating system. The integrated supplementary heating is used as required, for example in colder rooms or when extra drying capacity is needed.

High capacity and airflow for efficient circulation

With a dehumidification capacity of up to 48 litres per day and an airflow of up to 800 m³/h, the WLD1H handles large quantities of laundry and moisture efficiently. Drying laundry with a dehumidifier is not only highly energy-efficient but also gentle on the clothes. The powerful fan has four adjustable speeds and dries clothes from below, where they are wettest. If the laundry is hung correctly, it also dries faster. Wet, heavy items, such as jeans, should be hung closest to the dehumidifier, whilst lighter, thinner items should be hung furthest away. If the laundry is also hung over double washing lines, drying is even faster.

Integrated auxiliary heating for flexible operation

The WLD1H is equipped with a built-in 1200 W heater that can be activated via a separate button. When the heat is switched on, the unit works to reach a temperature of approximately 27°C and then maintains a stable level of 27°C ±1°C during operation. Once the heating function has been activated, it starts automatically with the same settings upon restart, allowing the display lock to be used and ensuring the property owner’s selected settings are maintained. The fan adjusts to the selected programme and continues to run for a short while after the heating has been switched off to ensure safe cooling.

Effective all year round, even at low temperatures

Wood’s WLD1H is designed to operate efficiently even at low temperatures, with an operating range from +2 °C to +35 °C. For optimal performance, it is recommended to use the existing heating system in the premises. If necessary, the integrated auxiliary heating can be used to further improve drying conditions, particularly in colder environments.

Smart installation gives better results

The WLD1H is installed so that the air outlet is directed along the clotheslines and the laundry. For the best drying effect, the supplied wall bracket should be mounted close to the clotheslines. It also comes with a removable display cover, allowing you to choose whether residents should be able to change settings or whether drying should take place using preset settings from the property owner. The WLD1H is supplied without a plug and must be installed by a qualified electrician. For the simplest possible use, it is best connected to a timer that controls the drying time.

Manufactured in Sweden with a durable metal casing and hard-wearing components, the WLD1H is designed for a long service life and minimal maintenance. The washable nylon filter protects the dehumidifier by trapping dust and particles from laundry, and the high-quality SMF filter included protects the machine from smaller particles and mould, ensuring optimal performance over time.
