It was by far the most energy efficient, while drying laundry quickly and gently. The two heat pump-based machines, tumble dryers and drying cabinets, consumed on average 55% more energy than Wood’s LD40, while the fan heater consumed the most electricity.
In terms of drying time, the drying cabinets were slightly ahead, but the difference was marginal and the higher energy consumption made the dehumidifier clearly the smartest choice.
