    Troubleshooting: Dehumidifier

For more detailed troubleshooting, see the dehumidifier’s manual. You will find all operating instructions under our range here. If you are not able to get the help you need, please contact us for assistance.

    The dehumidifier does not start

    • Check that the dehumidifier is connected to an electrical outlet.
    • Check that the fuse has not blown.
    • Check that the water tank is correctly inserted.
    • Check that the float hangs freely in the water tank.
    • Check that the room temperature does not exceed or fall below the dehumidifier limit. Most dehumidifiers can operate between + 5° C and + 35° C.
    • Check that the hygrostat works by setting the dehumidifier to continuous dehumidification, the dehumidifier should then start. The dehumidifier with a mechanical hygrostat should start when you turn the hygrostat knob to max.

The dehumidifier does not provide water

    • Check that the fan is running.
    • Make sure that nothing blocks the airflow to and from the dehumidifier. The dehumidifier must be at least 30 cm from surrounding surfaces.
    • Check that the compressor is running. Keep in mind, however, that the dehumidifier may be inside a defrost cycle. Start by waiting 35 min.
    • Check that the air filter is not clogged. Clean or replace the filter if necessary.
    • Check that no dust or dirt prevents the water from running down into the water tank or hose.

    Abnormally high noise level

    • Increase the distance between the dehumidifier and surrounding surfaces.
    • Clean or replace the air filter if necessary.
    • Check that the dehumidifier is on a flat and stable surface

Ice formation on the dehumidifier’s cooling coils

    • Check that no dust or the like obstructs the flow of air through the machine.
    • Check that the temperature in the room does not fall below + 5° C. At lower temperatures, the dehumidifier cannot defrost.

The dehumidifier does not switch off when the water tank is full

    • It is important that the float is not stuck in the water tank. The float must be able to move freely, along with the water level in the tank.
